Please join the Alameda County Care Alliance (ACCA) and its partners to honor caregivers for their tireless efforts caring for loved ones at the third annual Caregiver Recognition Celebration on October 8th at the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church 1909 Market Street, Oakland, CA 94607. The afternoon of activities, 2:00pm-6:00pm, will include a celebratory supper, health expo, caregiver appreciation service, and keynote message from Bishop J.W Macklin, Pastor of Glad Tidings COGIC. You do not want to miss the ONE VOICE MASS CHOIR experience, where the choirs from each ACCA church will combine their melodic voices and spirit-filled energy to set the atmosphere in the house!
The event will also celebrate the work of the Alameda County Care Alliance (ACCA) and the Advanced Illness Care Program™, which helps persons needing advanced illness care and their caregivers address spiritual, advance care planning, health (physical and psychosocial), social and caregiving needs. Now in 12 churches in Alameda County and Contra Costa County, this program has helped over 1,300 persons needing care and caregivers from our congregations and the community over the last 2 years. All are welcome.

This celebration, now in its third year, will continue to honor and lift up caregivers in our community who devote their love, support, and time to help persons needing care. In years past we have had over 1,000 guests attend the health expo, dinner and service to learn more about resources that can help persons needing care and caregiver meet their spiritual, health, advance care planning, social, and caregiving needs. The ACCA takes pride in supporting caregivers as they care for loved ones, and also in providing resources and services to persons living with an advanced illness. We hope you can attend!
